Peace is the most powerful weapon of mankind. It takes more courage to take a blow than to give one.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi.

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated on 2nd October 2018, at The Daffodil Public School’s Assembly Hall. The program began with a prayer song.

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated by the entire nation to commemorate the birth anniversary of the father of our nation-Mahatama Gandhi. Daffodil Public School celebrated bapu’s birthday in school with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotism. The assembly began with a special tribute to Gandhi ji. The children shared anecdotes from Gandhiji’s life. A song was performed on the occasion. The students also quizzed the school on various contributions made by Bapu to India’s freedom struggle. Students also saw a documentary movie on the life and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi Ji towards India and Indian independence. The highlight of the assembly was a song glorifying Gandhi ji and how he heralded a new era for our country. The assembly wound up with a medley of Bapu’s favourite songs such as Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram. Thus the students of Daffodil Public School were given a deep insight into the life and times of Mahatama Gandhi and encouraged to think about the sacrifice of our freedom fighters, analyze the importance and understand the value of freedom, through the day’s activities.
